Special Programs

We visit the church sanctuary to share simple bible stories and songs led by either our Preschool Director or WFPC Ministry Staff. It's a gentle, friendly way to share the love of Jesus with his smallest disciples.

Each class includes singing, movement and instrument exploration. We always build on the songs... we never settle for just singing them! We add movements, change the words, add instruments...

Lunch Bunch  temporarily suspended to meet COVID requirements

Lunch Bunch is offered Monday through Friday from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. for children ages 3 and up who are potty trained. Children bring their own lunch and eat in the Lunch Bunch room before heading out for some playground time (weather permitting). Lunch Bunch is $8 per session; you must sign up on the Lunch Bunch bulletin board in the hallway. Please remember that WFPP is a peanut-free environment; do not pack any peanut products!

Field Trips

All age groups have field trips to enhance their in-class experiences throughout the year. We do both in-house field trips (for example, The NC Museum of Natural Sciences will visit us with some interesting creatures) and adventures out in our community (visiting the fire station, picking strawberries, or going to Blue Jay Point). For the safety of our children, transportation to offsite locations is the responsibility of our families.

Special Celebrations temporarily modified to meet COVID requirements

We consider your whole family to be a part of our preschool, and we like to get everyone together! Throughout the year, we have several school-wide celebrations to which you are invited to share in the joy. We have a Fall Festival in October, complete with a costume parade and carnival-style games. In November we gather together for our Thankful Feast. Our children love to share our annual Christmas Program in December. Dads are celebrated annual at our Dad's Day, featuring donuts and games designed especially for the special men in our lives. We love our moms, and we spoil them each year at our Mothers' Tea in May.
