The mission statement of Family Promise is simple:

"OUR MISSION IS TO HELP HOMELESS AND LOW-INCOME FAMILIES ACHIEVE SUSTAINABLE INDEPENDENCE THROUGH A COMMUNITY-BASED RESPONSE."

Family Promise is a holistic approach to the crisis of family homelessness. Their programs address the range of issues that affect low-income families. These include direct services, educational curricula, prevention programs and more.

Wake Forest Presbyterian is a part of that community-based response by providing housing, meals, and transportation to a group of families for a one-week period twice a year. Our next opportunity is coming May/June 2020.

No matter what your gifts are, we can use a little (or a lot!) of your time. We need help with set-up and clean-up, laundry, van driving, cooking and serving meals, evening activities, and overnight hosting at WFPC
