Walk Through Bethlehem
Begun in the year 2000 as a Christmas gift to our community and surrounding area, each year Wake Forest Presbyterian Church delivers the true Christmas story in a stirring virtual "walk" through Bethlehem to the stable where the Christ Child was born. Under the night sky, the campus of Wake Forest Presbyterian Church is transformed into the most breathtaking outdoor, living nativity program that you can imagine.
With a cast and crew of more than 250, we bring the story of the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to life before your very eyes. As you journey through the streets of Bethlehem you are engulfed in such emotion as this most beautiful and amazing story unfolds. Authentic costumes and settings immerse you into believing you are actually witnessing that most holy miracle.
The 2016 program hosted 2,500 guests in two nights, and we are looking forward to the 2017 program. All performances are free to the public. Monetary and non-perishable donations are being accepted to support Tri-Area Ministries and Back Pack Buddies. Individual cereals, orange juice, canned soups, peanut butter, ham/chicken/tuna salad packets, beanie weenies, spaghettios/raviolis, cereal bars are needed.  Visitors in strollers and wheelchairs should be aware the Walk moves at a slow pace through grass, gravel and wooden ramps.
2017 Dates Are:
Friday, December 1       6:00 - 9:00 PM
Saturday, December 2   5:00 - 9:00 PM
Sunday, December 3     5:00 - 8:00 PM
Visitor and Participant Comments

“We came to the Walk Through Bethlehem this weekend, and it was AMAZING!!  (I can even say it was well worth the 70 minutes it took for us to get there from Cary in Friday night traffic J ) Please pass along my thanks and gratitude for this important ministry.  It was so moving, and very educational for my children.  Again, thank you. “ -- Visitor and Associate Pastor, White Memorial Presbyterian Church

"My kids just told me they wanted to come back next year. So thank you for that, for inspiring them to want to come to church." -- Visitor

“I would like to thank your church for blessing the community with the Walk Through Bethlehem! I attended for the first time this year and found it to be a feast for the senses. It was so neat to walk in the footsteps of Mary and Joseph while they traveled for the census. The experience was a good reminder of what this Holy Season is all about. I look forward to making a Walk Through Bethlehem a yearly tradition. May God richly bless you and your mission to share the birth of our Savior with the community.” -- Visitor

"I just like the idea of someone learning about Jesus because of something I do." -- Youth Partipant, WFPC

“I am so happy to read that 2,865 people heard the story of Jesus' birth!  How wonderful!  And I personally, am so blessed to be part of this ministry! The entire production is amazing and even the children enjoy it!  God willing I shall take part again-as long as the Innkeeper will have me as his wife! Sign me up for that part of the Innkeepers wife (again) for 2015 please!  God willing I will be there for Friday & Saturday nights again!” -- D. Craig, WFPC Member
