TIME IS COMING! Mark your calendars for
March 9th and Spring Forward!
MARK YOUR CALENDAR: The
season of Lent
is fast approaching. Ash Wednesday is
March 5th. Special Ash
Wednesday services will be at 11:30a.m. and 7:00 p.m. The Youth are sponsoring a pancake dinner at
5:30, preceding the 7:00 service. You
will not want to miss this, details are in the next announcement!
THE ANNUAL MIDDLE SCHOOL PANCAKE SUPPER is
set for Wednesday, March 5 from 5:30 to 7 pm in the CLC. This year we are offering
three kinds of pancakes -- plain, chocolate chip and blueberry -- sausage,
bacon, juice and a coffee-tasting station. Gluten-free pancakes are available
upon request. Dinner reservations are
recommended. There is no charge for dinner, however, free-will donations
are encouraged. The proceeds of this fund-raiser support Middle School Youth
trips to Massanetta and Raleigh this summer. Thanks so much for your support of
Youth Ministries at WFPC.
NEW MEN'S BIBLE STUDY
OPPORTUNITY BEGAN LAST WEEK-Derek Maul is offering a Wednesday evening time-slot for
men's Bible study. The study will
begin with the Life Application Series study of Philippians and Colossians. Meet at 6:30-7:45 pm in the parlor room at
the end of the church administrative offices area. Contact DerekMaul@gmail.com for details.
THE LENTEN BIBLE
this year will be offered beginning Wednesday,
March 12th, 6:30 p.m. in room B103, in the CLC, immediately
following Wednesday night supper. The
study, led by Pastor Rebekah will cover "The Seven Deadly Sins: Pride; Envy; Anger; Sloth; Avarice; Lust;
Gluttony." Sin is something
everyone can relate to. Come and get
educated as we begin our spiritual journey toward Easter, and be relieved by the abundant mercy and
hope that God showers on us all. Bring
your Bible and friend, and let's grow deeper in our relationship with God.
IT IS NOW TIME TO
SIGN UP FOR OUR SPRING DINNER GROUPS, lovingly called our Koinonia Suppers. Koinonia (Koin-no-ni-a)
suppers are simply a time for fellowship with other Christians. What could be
more fun? Last fall 64 of our congregation participated in dinners that were
hosted in 8 different homes. Although participation is just a one time
commitment, most groups met multiple times rotating through the different
members of their group. This is a great opportunity to get to know members of
the congregation and to share good food and good conversation. If you are interested in being a part of a
group, please contact Lucy Deeprose at firstname.lastname@example.org. Also, please let me
know if you would be willing to be a host. The spring dinner groups will
meet in April or May.
DIVORCECARE-If you are
experiencing or contemplating separation or divorce, or know someone who would
benefit from this program, please join
us on Wednesday nights starting March 19 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in Modular #3 (the
modular building closest to the Christian Life Center). DivorceCare is a 13 week program focused on
fellowship, Bible study, prayer and healing.
You can join in at any point - each week is a self-contained lesson and
your workbook is provided free of charge!
Child care is also provided by loving caregivers in our preschool wing
classrooms. For more information please contact email@example.com. You can also learn more about DC at www.divorcecare.org.

OUT YOUR ATTIC! The MS Youth Group Yard
Sale is just two months away and we need your gently used furniture,
housewares, athletic equipment and more to help raise money for our summer
trips. The date of the Yard Sale is Saturday, April 12 in the CLC. We
will announce drop-off hours and pick-up schedules as the date draws nearer,
but for now, start spring cleaning and set aside some items for an amazing
cause -- sending Middle School Youth to do mission work in Raleigh and to a
retreat in Massanetta. For more information about what items may be donated,
please contact Amy Donahoo at firstname.lastname@example.org or (919)
