SCHEDULING OF NURSERY VOLUNTEERS-Given the necessary
cutbacks to address our church's deficit and budgeting challenges, WFPC will no
longer have a paid position (Nursery Director) to schedule volunteers for our
nursery. Coordination responsibility
will now be handled by a nursery committee consisting of church member
volunteers. Meanwhile, we will continue
to have paid nursery caregivers working side by side with volunteers to care
for our children. If you have a heart for this type of ministry and are interested in
helping our newly-formed nursery committee with the coordination of volunteers,
please contact Lisa Baker (lisabaker@wakeforestpres.org).
PLEASE SIGN UP FOR THE NEXT NURSERY VOLUNTEER ROTATION FOR APRIL-JUNE 2010. Please check your calendars and sign up
at the table at the end of the preschool hall or check the schedules online
on the website for your assigned dates (if applicable),
www.wakeforestpres.org, and contact
nurserycoordinator@wakeforestpres.org, to assist with this
ministry. The nursery cannot run smoothly without your help.
JOB SUPPORT GROUP-There is a group being formed to provide support to those in the
congregation and community who are currently unemployed. If interested in this group, please e-mail
John Hartman, johnhartman@wakeforestpres.org.

STEPHEN MINISTRY TRAINING
UPDATE- Please pray for our
Stephen Ministers as they continue to enhance their care giving skills. Here is
what they are learning this week. This is the first of two sessions on
distinctively Christian caring. Stephen Ministers explore the essentials of
using their Christian faith in caring for another, drawing on the resources of
prayer, witnessing, the Bible, forgiveness, blessings, and more. An important motto of Stephen Ministry
is "The Stephen Minister is the caregiver, and God is the curegiver." This
training session underscores this Christ-centered focus for Stephen Ministers.
WE
ARE INSTITUTING SOME NEW CHANGES TO SOME BRANCHES, combining some,
dissolving some and leaving some as they are. Deacon branch number assignments
are printed in each week's Sunday bulletin. Checking the Prayer List each week
in our bulletin is a great way to see if anyone in your branch needs extra
attention. Any questions or concerns
don't hesitate to contact your deacon or Lynn Long, lynnlong@wakeforestpres.org.
