Pentecost Offering

The Pentecost Offering is traditionally received on the day of Pentecost. (Pentecost 2015 is Sunday, May 24!) A gift to the Pentecost Offering helps the church encourage, develop, and support its young people, and also address the needs of at-risk children. 40% of the Pentecost offering is retained by individual congregations wanting to make an impact in the lives of young people within their own community. The remainder is divided equally between the Young Adult Volunteer Program and the denomination’s Ministries With Youth program.

The Young Adult Volunteer program is a one year service opportunity for young adults from 19 to 30 years. YAVs live in Christian community, deepening and developing their faith while serving in communities of need. The YAV program has sites around the United States and around the world, and YAVs serve for one academic year, August - July. Click here to learn more about the Young Adult Volunteer Program.
