Christmas Angel Program
Christmas Angel greenThis ministry assists local families and senior citizens with gifts and needed items during the holiday season. Money collected during designated church services in December, is used to purchase gifts for local families in need who are identified through Wake County Social Services. Additionally, donations are used to shop for the residents of a local senior citizen facility, based on their specific needs. Church members sign up to do the shopping with the collected money, then directly distribute to families and the senior care center.
The Christmas Angel ministry gives all church members and their families not only a chance to share their resources but to share gifts directly with others in need. Helping during a time of the year that so many may be suffering, offers our church members an opportunity to understand that as Christians we should share our blessings and give to those who are less fortunate. Planning normally begins in October and then the ministry takes place in late November and early December.
